【PRISM14+ Where We See: Taiwan–Japan–Korea Art Exchange Exhibition】
For the first time, PRISM is collaborating with the Cultural Affairs Department of the New Taipei City Government to present this exhibition. We warmly invite everyone to join us.
▍Exhibition Introduction
PRISM, an international art collective connecting Taiwan, Japan, and Korea across geographical boundaries, once again brings together artists from all three regions. Under the theme “Where We See,” the exhibition opens a dialogue on ways of seeing, perception, and lived experience.
What we “see” is never limited to what appears before our eyes. Every gaze is shaped by a different way of life, cultural context, and inner experience; even the same world can therefore give rise to distinct understandings and perceptions. In this exhibition, the artists work across painting, moving image, and diverse media, drawing from everyday life, nature, memory, dreams, and personal experience to transform their individual ways of perceiving the world into artistic form.
When works from Taiwan, Japan, and Korea are brought together in the same space, their differences are not erased. Instead, through mutual observation and exchange, new relationships and perspectives begin to emerge. “Where We See” refers not only to the positions from which artists view the world, but also invites viewers to move among the works, reconsider what lies before them from different perspectives, and discover their own feelings, reflections, and imagination within the exhibition.
▍About PRISM
Founded in 2013, PRISM is an international collaborative platform for artists. Its name evokes the image of a prism: through art as a medium, it refracts a diverse spectrum of cultures while revealing subtle differences and resonances across artistic practices. Over the course of thirteen editions, PRISM has been hosted in rotation across Taiwan, Japan, and Korea, becoming an important platform for sustained artistic exchange and cross-cultural dialogue.

PRISMは、地理的な境界を越えて台湾、日本、韓国をつなぐ国際的なアート・コレクティブとして、今回も3地域のアーティストを一堂に集めます。「Where We See」をテーマに、本展では、ものの見方、知覚、そして生きられた経験をめぐる対話を開きます。
▍Exhibition Introduction
私たちが「見る」ものは、目の前に現れるものだけに限られることはありません。一人ひとりのまなざしは、それぞれ異なる生き方、文化的背景、内的な経験によって形づくられています。そのため、同じ世界であっても、そこから生まれる理解や知覚は異なり得ます。本展では、アーティストたちが絵画、映像、さまざまなメディアを横断しながら、日常生活、自然、記憶、夢、個人的な経験をもとに、それぞれの世界の捉え方を芸術のかたちへと変換します。
台湾、日本、韓国の作品が同じ空間に集まるとき、その違いが消されることはありません。むしろ、互いに観察し、交流することを通して、新たな関係性や視点が生まれ始めます。「Where We See」は、アーティストが世界を見つめる位置を指すだけでなく、鑑賞者にも作品の間を移動しながら、目の前にあるものを異なる視点から捉え直し、展覧会の中に自らの感情、思索、想像を見いだすことを促します。
▍About PRISM
2013年に設立されたPRISMは、アーティストのための国際的な協働プラットフォームです。その名はプリズムのイメージに由来し、アートという媒介を通して多様な文化のスペクトルを屈折させながら、さまざまな芸術実践における繊細な差異と共鳴を浮かび上がらせます。これまで13回にわたり、台湾、日本、韓国で持ち回り開催され、継続的な芸術交流と異文化間の対話を支える重要なプラットフォームとなっています。
